Supplies needed

Instructions

  1. Review the instructions on Using the Marking/Placement guide that is included in the Matboard kits
  2. Cut a 4" diameter piece of batting
  3. Cut the stitched work to 5" diameter
  4. Cut the Quilting cotton to 6" diameter
  5. Use the Super 77 spray adhesive to affix the batting to a 4" Matboard and the Quilting cotton to the 5" Round Matboard.
  6. Once the glue has set on the batting, use the Super 77 to affix the stitched work to the batting.
  7. Spread some Aleen's All Purpose Tacky glue on the back of the 4" Matboard around the edge and press the fabric into the glue in small sections.  This will cause the fabric to pucker a little.  Use scissors to cut the pucker and press then edges into the glue.  The goal is to get the back as flat as possible.
  8. Repeat the above on the 5" Matboard.
  9. Once the glue has dried, spread some more Aleen's on the back of the 4" Matboard.  Place on the front of the 5" matboard, now wrapped in Quilting cotton.  Use the Marking/Placement guide to help center the stitched work on the Quilting cotton.  Use something heavy like a book to hold things in place while the glue dries
  10. Once the glue has dried, spread some more Aleen's on the back of the 5" Matboard.  Place in the skillet and hold in place with something heavy again.
